Providing a firm connection between those who grow the grapes, those who make the wine, and those who then enjoy drinking the wine is a foundation of Melia Wines’ business.
While raising kids, running other businesses, and being involved in the community of Portland Oregon, Melissa and her husband Ken are the current owners and farmers of 31 acres in the spectacular Russian River Valley of Sonoma County California. This land has been in the Siebert family for many generations, and continues to be enjoyed by members of the second, third, and fourth generations of the family.
The ranch includes 15 acres of premier Russian River Valley appellation Pinot Noir grapes, which are made into premium wines by La Crema, Rodney Strong, Mossback, Paradise Ridge, River Road, and Ancient Oak Cellars wineries. It is this connection to the Sonoma County wine business that launched Melissa on her way to providing exceptional wines – from her Sonoma County community and others – to members of her community in Portland and beyond.
The personal connection to this vineyard leads to a commitment to support small, family-owned wineries and vineyards that use sustainable practices.
